Plegaria Del Lobo

Oígo la voz ululante del lobo voraz,
la bestia de sangre y de mal;
oigo su humilde plegaria,
angustiosa, febril y fatal:
“¡Señor, yo clamo ante ti!
¡Señor! Todos me acumulan
muchos crímenes sin nombre.
Y su infamia disimulan!
¡Señor! ten piedad de mi,
porque me devora el Hombre!

Prayer of the Wolf

I hear the howling voice of the hungry wolf,
the beast of blood and evil;
I hear his humble prayer,
Anguished, feverish and lethal:
“Lord, I cry unto you!
Lord! They all heap on my head
numberless nameless crimes.
And their black infamy they disguise!
Lord! Look on me with pity,
because Man preys on me!
